Some of the other items in the Lucia's
collection are a letter opener from Florida Power
and Light's Ice Division. FPL supplied the Lucia's
with the history of the utility which includes details
about the Ice manufacturing division that was active
100 years ago in Florida. There is a dance card
dated 1891 from the Boston Ice Company's Christmas
Holiday dance, 45 rpm records containing actual
radio ads that were aired in the 50s produced by
the New England Ice Association, ledger books dating
from the late 1800s from numerous ice companies
that contain hand written entries that document
the daily business expenses from wages to supplies
for the horses to the payments of customers. |
